Jameson Sips & Chips Poker Club
Client: Jameson (Pernod Ricard)
Role: Concept, set and production design
Format: Month-long private poker club, empty mansion, one event per week
Location: Moscow
Jameson wanted a secret poker club that guests had to be invited into. The name explains the night: “sips” were cocktails the brand ambassadors made with Jameson Black Barrel, twists on an Old Fashioned plus punches and long drinks, and “chips” was real tournament poker, played for brand prizes and not money.
I worked on it with another designer, and the two of us handled concept, set design and production together. Every week we redesigned the whole mansion, so guests who came back walked into a different place each time. New rooms, new furniture, new lighting. Because the mansion was empty, there was nothing to work around, and we started over from bare walls before each event.
